Happy Baby

Graecyn is almost 7 weeks old already...we can't believe how time flies!  She finally has her days and nights straight and has even slept through the night for us!  Most nights she lets us sleep for 4 hours between feedings and one night she even gave us a 7 hour stretch!  She's starting to make little noises every now and then and can lift her head up for short periods of time; she's grown too long to wear her newborn clothes, but is too skinny for the 0-3 or 3 month sizes.  The thing we're loving most right now is that she smiles - and not just when she's gassy.  She loves to smile at us when we talk to her and we are absolutely loving it!  She is such a happy baby and we are so blessed to have her in our lives!

Graecyn Nicole - 1 Month Old

Little miss Graecyn is one month old already!  It is hard to imagine our lives without her in it.  She has definitely rocked our world and we love it!  She still has her days and nights somewhat mixed up, but we are working to change that.  We've had a few great nights where she's let us sleep up to 4 hours straight.  The first time it happened, we both jumped up in a panic and looked in her bassinet to make sure she was ok - we couldn't believe that we had actually gotten some sleep!

She loves to cuddle - so much that it's sometimes hard to get her to stay asleep once we lay her down in her bassinet.  She'll snuggle up on Eric or my chest, pull her knees up and stick her little butt out.  She smiles a lot - we know that at this age, it's most likely just due to gas, but we love it anyway.  Her hair is pretty wild, especially after a bath.  It's cute now, but I hope it settles down eventually for her sake. :-)
