Graecyn Update

I'm way overdue on a post for Graecyn.

She is such a funny, sweet, kind girl and a great big sister.  She loves playing with Cody (except when he's trying to get her toys).

She loves to sing and dance, do gymnastics, and swim.

She loves to practice writing her letters and is getting so good at writing many of them.

She got a big girl bike this weekend.  She has mastered riding her balance bike, so we were hoping the transition to the big girl bike would be easy.  She has her balance mastered, but the pedaling is a bit challenging for her.  It's different for her to be able to turn the pedals backwards to stop, so she gets confused and keeps stopping herself.  The bike is also a little too big for her too (she's at the minimum recommended height for this bike), but she'll grow into it.

10 Months

New things this month...

You are completely mobile now and are so fast!  You are crawling on your hands and knees and will walk around pushing anything you can.  We'll be putting the baby gates up soon.

You love to spin things - you have a few toys that have parts that spin around; you'll constantly hit them to spin them around and around and around.

You love to play peek-a-boo.

You have the cutest personality and are such a talker, saying "dada".  When you get really excited, you wave your arms around or spin your hands and feet.

You have 6 teeth - 4 on top and 2 on bottom.

You've become a great eater and will eat pretty much anything we put in front of you.  You are now eating a lot of table food and are pretty good at feeding yourself.

You have finally started sleeping through the night pretty consistently, waking once anytime between 4 and 7 a.m.  You take 2 good naps each day; the first one usually within 2 hours after waking for the day and the second one usually around 2 or 3 p.m.

You like to make funny faces - wrinkling your nose up and tipping your head back - saying "ad" as you do it.

You LOVE bath time and drench everything around you with your splashing.

Happy Easter

We had a great Easter weekend.  My parents came to visit, which was so nice - we hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving!  We did some shopping, went to the zoo, had an easter egg hunt, and more.  I didn't tell Graecyn ahead of time that they were coming and the look on her face when I got home after picking them up from the airport was priceless - she was so surprised and so excited!!
