You love to "talk", saying 'dadadada', 'nnnnnaaaa', and 'ba'. Not exactly real words, but you're trying. You get mad really easily, especially if we take something away from you that you're not done playing with. You are constantly moving your arms and feet - especially when you're excited - you spin them around and around.
The last month was pretty rough for you as you were sick for most of the month - we were at the doctor's office every week for 4 weeks in a row for something different - ear infection, stomach virus, viral rash, and eye infection. You've got great chubby cheeks and legs, but are still on the small side for weight (likely because of the rough month we had). At your 9 month check-up you weighed 16 lbs 6 oz (in the 5th percentile) and are 28" long (35th percentile). You're a pretty good eater and seem to like most of the foods we've given you (you are not a fan of peas, green beans, or avocado). You're starting to feed yourself puffs and I'm slowly starting to give you more finger foods to try. You're still on 100% breastmilk and drink 5-6 bottles a day that are around 4 oz each. You can hold your own bottle, which is so nice! You still won't nurse and I've given up on even trying to get you to do it. I'm only pumping 3 times a day now, but am so tired of it...hoping I can stick it out until the end, but it's getting harder and harder to want to do it.
You've had a busy month with teething and are now up to 5 teeth - 3 on top and 2 on bottom! 3 of your teeth came around the same time, which was a little hard on you - overall, you've handled teething pretty well.
We love watching your personality develop and can't wait to see what's in store over the next month and beyond!
