- Love to sing and dance, draw, do crafts, play Barbies, Legos
- Want to be a teacher when you grow up
- Love watching cooking/baking shows (especially Kid Bakers)
- Absolutely love school (especially riding the school bus) - you have learned SO much in the 6 months you've been in kindergarten and amaze me everyday! You can officially read, which is so fun to listen to. You do really well sounding out words to write (the words aren't usually spelled right, but we know what you're trying to say).
- You have gymnastics twice a week (you're on the Mighty Mights team) and are starting to learn how to do a bridge kick over and even a back handspring!
- You are still doing swimming lessons and love to swim. You really want to try karate and piano lessons, so we'll have to see if we can maybe squeeze that in over the summer.
- LOVE to be fancy, wearing jewelry, dresses and fancy shoes every chance you get. If I would let you, you would have your hair curled and wear makeup every day!
- Have learned how to snap your fingers and whistle!
- Are still very much a rule follower, which I so appreciate (especially given that Cody is not a rule follower right now). You are also a mini-mama, which is cute, but we often have to remind you that you are not Cody's mama when you try to discipline him.
- You lost your first tooth (bottom middle). We discovered it was loose soon after your 6th birthday and you would have thought it was Christmas morning with how excited you were! You patiently waited about 6 more weeks before it finally fell out. The tooth fairy brought you a dollar with fairy sparkles on it and a special lost tooth certificate. You now have at least 2 other loose teeth, but it will be awhile before they fall out.
- At your 6 year check up, you weighed 42 pounds and were 3' 10" tall.
- You love having mama time and are such a snuggler! You are definitely still a mama's girl!
- You have so many friends from school and gymnastics. Callie is still your BFF and it is so fun when you get together with her.
We celebrated your 6th birthday with a small party in North Carolina over Christmas (Aunt Amanda made you a Barbie princess cake) and with a big friends party at Pump it Up on your actual birthday. You had 18 (!) friends come to your party and it was so much fun!
I'm so proud to be your mama and so proud of the little girl you are becoming! I can't wait to watch you grow and look forward to what the next year has in store for you!!
Love you monkey,
Mama
