Arizona Spring Vacation

We spent a long weekend visiting Grandma & Papa in Fountain Hills, AZ and had a fantastic time.  Uncle Travis, Aunt Juli, Addison, Colton, and Baby Camden were visiting at the same time and you had SO.MUCH.FUN playing with your cousins!

You did AWESOME on the 4 1/2 hour flight.  I was so nervous as you usually struggle to sit still for our usual 2 hour flights to Iowa or North Carolina.  How in the world were we going to get you to sit still for double that time?  But, I shouldn't have worried because you were so good.  You watched your movies, ate lunch, and even took a 1 1/2 hour nap!
Time to watch movies.
Keeping your "Dolphie" safe during landing.

We went to the zoo where you got to ride a camel and feed a giraffe (well, technically, Mama fed the giraffe because you were too scared).

snack time

We swam in the pool…(you are still scared of the swimming pool and often opted to stay inside and watch out the windows).  Once we got you in the pool, you were fine inside your "car".

Mama & Daddy went on a 4 mile hike with Uncle Travis, Aunt Juli, and Papa.  It was a challenge and a great workout with some gorgeous views!

So many pretty desert flowers
You played and played and played with your cousins and loved talking to baby Camden - getting right in his face and saying "hi, buddy" over and over.

You picked lemons off Grandma and Papa's lemon tree.

We went to Scottsdale where we visited the train park, ate lunch at Frank and Lupe's (one of our favorite Arizona Mexican restaurants), strolled around old Scottsdale, and had an ice cream treat at Sugar Bowl (you slept during the last two).
L-R clockwise: So excited to ride on the train, playing on the playground, pointing out which horse you're going to ride on the carousel, "Hi, Daddy"

On our last night, we tried to catch the sunset, but missed it by a few minutes and strolled around the Fountain of Fountain Hills.

We had such a great time and wished we could have stayed longer.  Looking forward to another Arizona trip next year.

Project 52

I am doing my first ever photography "Project 52", thanks to the encouragement of my friend, Libba.  The goal of the project, led by M4H Photography, is to take one photo each week for one year.  There is a new "theme" each week and while it is not designed to be a competition, a winner is selected each week with several other photos selected as "eye candy".  Ultimately, it is a great opportunity to enhance your skills and see some fantastic photos.  It's been a lot of fun to participate in and my very first photo I submitted {bright} was selected as eye candy!  Here are a few of the photos I've submitted so far.
