Team Taylor: Graecyn's First Year of School

Your first year of school is in the books! You LOVED kindergarten so much and were sad to see the year come to an end. You made so many new friends and really enjoyed everything about school...especially, riding the school bus every day and having extra recess!

Your biggest accomplishments this year were that you learned to 1. whistle, 2. snap your fingers, and 3. READ!! I love listening to you read and it is so fun to see you get excited about reading. You also lost your first 2 teeth!

There were so many fun activities for you this year, including...

Eagle Dash fundraiser - you ran 14 laps without stopping!
The 50th day of school celebration
The 100th day of school celebration
Star of the week - you got to bring the class mascot, a Zebra named "Kenny" home for the week
Making your first Valentine's box (you made a unicorn)
Making your first Leprechaun trap
Field trips to Dinosaur Hill to learn about maple syrup (it was freezing cold!), the Rochester Fire Department, and Busch's Grocery Store
Daddy-Daughter dance
Mother's Day tea
Dress like your favorite book character (you chose Fancy Nancy)
Field day
You had your first friend sleepover - it was a Mom/daughter sleepover, which helped. You, Maddie, Sammie, and Olivia had so much fun. We did crafts, played games, and stayed up late! There were a few meltdowns, but overall it was a success!
You got your first note from a boy, Jacob - he told you a few months prior that he was going to take you on a date and then one day at recess gave you a note that said that you were his girlfriend. When we asked you what you said, you told us you told him, "that's weird" :-)
