June Fun

Summer is finally here!  We had a cool start to summer, but as long as the sun was shining, the kids were outside playing!  Eric put the finishing touches on the kids' playground - including a sandbox and a steering wheel, periscope, and telescope to the top "pirate ship" portion.  Graecyn and I added some pretty curtains and a chalkboard to the "playhouse" portion and flowers to the top platform.  The kids are loving it and spending as much time as they can playing on it.

Graecyn's last day of school was June 14 and she finished the school year by getting the "strongest" award from her Daisy troop and collected all of her cookie sales prizes (she was the top seller for her troop and earned lots of fun rewards!).

Graecyn lost a tooth in her sleep and was worried the tooth fairy wouldn't know; she left a nice note on her nightstand and the tooth fairy delivered a $1 bill folded up as a cootie catcher.

Graecyn also had her first sleepover at a friend's house for a birthday party; she had a great time!

We ended the month with Graecyn finishing Developmental 1 in gymnastics and earning the "Hardest Worker" award from her coaches!  She'll start pre-team next and is so excited!  We're a little nervous since this is a huge commitment (both financially and time-wise) - she'll have practices 3 nights a week for 3.5 hours each!  The summer will be a good test to see if you can handle the schedule.  We're proud of how hard she has worked this past year and love seeing her love what she's doing!

And last, but not least, we celebrated Cody turning 4!!  We celebrated with muffins for breakfast, ToyStory 4, Rain Forest Cafe, and cake and presents!
