First Hair Cut!

You were born with a head full of hair and managed to not rub most of it off in the crib.  You've been sporting a baby mullet since you were one (or maybe sooner) and have had hair in your eyes for months.  Today, Daddy and I finally gave in and decided it was time for your first hair cut.  I have to admit, I was so anxious for this day - nervous about how you would do (I had convinced myself you would scream and cry), sad that we were getting rid of an original piece of you, worried that I wouldn't be able to pull your hair back into cute pig tails.  I spent hours researching the best place to take you - I wanted some place that specialized in children's hair cuts (so that they wouldn't be surprised at your screaming and crying).  And you know what, I worried for no reason because you did AWESOME!

We got to your appointment a few minutes early - planned on purpose so that you could see another child getting his hair cut and know what to expect.  You immediately picked out the chair you wanted to sit in (you had a carousel horse, airplane, police car, fire truck, or purple princess car to choose from) - you chose the purple princess car.

As soon as you sat down, the cape went on and you just sat there and looked around.  I was amazed and am so proud of you!  Daddy and I weren't completely ready to part with all of your baby hair, so opted for a "layered look" - a little bit of the baby mullet is still there, but no more hair in your eyes!

After it was all over, you got a balloon and were so excited!  You did not want to let go of your "boon" the rest of the night.

A new do and a "boon" to boot
